It's simple
With advanced set of words, I knew in English, I've began to watch movies without any translation or subtitles. At first it was hard, but later i get into it, and even like it so much, that now i actually prefer to watch English speaking movies in English, because not only actors playing visually but also they play with they voices, and the voices themselves turns out quite interesting for some actors, that i liked.
Also I work in company, where English language is quite spread.

Я все вижу, я такой :)

Well, I can write here some too.. My english grew thanks to computer, you know, all those Norton Commander and then Windows 3.1 and so on.. At school time I've just tried to understand the grammatics and that was the most crazy and stupid thing for learning english IMHO. All those "Present Indefinite" and "Future in the past" are crazy things. ))) And also because I had a very bad teachers before 8 class and after that a VERY good teacher.. so the difference was like a shock.. I just cannot go with her speed. The best thing was translating "Moscow News" newspaper, but that's all. Only a computer and english visual interface and games gave me what I know for now. And I also work on the same plant as Gray so couple days per year I have full speaking on English. Also I often read some internet sites with a news on english, read comments, write them too, so this language is pretty familiar for me. But IMHO we are not speaking on English, actually we have American English that is more simple, but who cares? )) The main think is that we can understand someone other.

Estonian language is not so bad really. But there are several reasons why I do not learning it. First - the genocide against the russians. If you want I please you - please me first: stop speak how bad were those russians! OKEY - THEY WERE BAD!!! BUT I'M NOT THEM!!!! I was born here and live 34 years and I'm a patriot of my country, I even know how to save it, but it should to earn my service.

Second thing - I was a very good pupil at my childhood but even for me it was impossible to learn estonian. Why? They just didn't want that. So the teaching was horrible. Despite having 2 hours for estonian VS 1 hour for english I knew english much better even at that far time. Yeah, estoinan is pretty difficult language. It has 15 cases (падежей).. and poor structure, it sound poor too - very monotonous. The funniest thing - the estonians themselves have a lot of dialects, so north do not understand south, east, west and centre ))). Why I should learn unfinished product? ))

And the last thing - estonian language is dead. For the moment, there is mush more usefull to know english because if you want good job in foreign company then it's international language. I've spoke a lot with many different nations: Korean, English, German, Finn, Hungarian, Italian.. even Estonian )) No problems at all!! Even russian language is far more useful because the Russia is nearest and biggest partner. Espesially if you have 40% of russian-speaking persons in the country... may be more, because tendencys of birth rate and death rate are in favour of russians.

I want to add some funny and interesting facts about Estonian.

For instance, do you know that initially Estonians lived in Ural? Well, their favourite way to give names for territory is to add the "Mountain" word... Do you see the mountains anywere here? )) Well, we have one hill at the south.. Nonetheless, the district were I lived from my 2 years was builded on a swamp. But it has name Flower Mountain.. (on estonian is sounds "Ыйсмяэ" - it was impossible to explain how it write when I live at Russia and put myself to military registration). And that's about almost all districts.. Black Mountain and etc.

Other instance.. everyone know russian hero Ilya Muromets. I can make you glad - it was Estonian, because Muru is herb, Mets is Forest, so we have "Hero From Forest of the Herbs". =)) Futher.. initially estonians are the small-sized, dark-headed, poor people, which hadn't tree-buildings, good agriculture (the soil here is terrible). But after Peter I has lead the army here, we got Tall, Blondie, Nice nation... At least estonian could to say thanks.. but they're too proud. By the way, when Peter thought where to build St-Peterburg there were two places, one of which is Paldisky - not so far from Tallinn, where is soviet submarines' base was.

All its history estonians lived under pressure from German, Swedish, Danish.. Even our capital has name Tallinn which got from Taani Linn - Danish Town. =) And only thanks to Soviet Union estonians could to have literature, all that production that was succesfully lost after treacherous leaving from SU. Actually there was not talking about leaving, (russian) people voted only for free economicsl region, not more.

Yes, it's heavy) But i cope with this top. It's very interesting) Especially i liked fact about Ilya Muromets - "Hero From Forest of the Herbs". There is one specificity in translating word "herb". In slang it's mean marijuana (hashish, hasheesh, cannabis) (кароч "дурь" по нашему). So, i like english)) One word have a lot of definitions. It's funy and very difficult at the same time.

.....тут можно подраЦа!!!

Yeah, words' playing is really fun but sometimes we can discover something new for ouselves, a new meanings.. Recently I just pronounce "podushka" and just got sence that this means "under ear" ))
If you are interested, here some material about how massive was influence of Ross' at past. The author has many proofs of that. For example, many of you know "berloga" - lair of bear, but actually word "ber" is russian. Also there is science Toponomika, that studies the names of geografical objects. Its most fundamental knowlegde is that those names are changed very rare and slightly so you can get them as they were initially, with original pronounce. And now you can think what the reason of naming such towns as Berlin and Byern.
